Project Cyber + MOSTe Cyber Workshop

Project Cyber partnered with MOSTe, a community-based mentoring, scholarship, and college-access organization that encourages young women’s education and success, to host a half-day cybersecurity workshop at the Johnnie L. Cochran Middle School.

A total of 53 girls - ranging from middle to high school age - participated in the event. The event kicked off with an introduction to cybersecurity and an exploration of careers in this industry. The girls then broke out into groups, where they had the chance to experience a “day in the life” of a cybersecurity professional through interactive exercises. The day concluded with a diverse career panel to address questions and provide insights on pursuing a career in technology. “We were excited to have this opportunity to partner with MOSTe; the impact they bring to their scholars is so inspiring, and we are honored to be a part of their journeys”, shared Project Cyber co-founder Cora Quon.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with MOSTe and planning more events in the future!
