Project Cyber reunited with MOSTe, a community-based mentoring, scholarship, and college-access organization that encourages young women’s education and success, to transform one of their workshops into a career fair for their program participants. Project Cyber co-founders Rachel Bierner, Regina Cadavid, and Cora Quon were on hand to talk to the participants - 50 girls in total - about cybersecurity and different career opportunities in the industry. Additionally, they introduced a simple and fun encryption-related exercise to give the girls a glimpse into the day in the life of a cybersecurity professional.
It was rewarding to see so much interest stemming from the girls’ questions and hope the interactions have inspired them to continue to learn more about this field!
